Plain answers about what this site collects and what happens to it.
This website is run by for the rental of , . It explains what we collect when you use it, why, and what we do not do.
When you make a booking: your name, email address, telephone number, the dates and number of guests, and the time you agreed to the house rules and the rental agreement. We keep this because it is the booking — we cannot hold a reservation without it.
When you pay: nothing. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment page and never reach this website. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference to it. Stripe's handling of your card is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
When you leave a review: the name you give, the rating and the text you write. These are shown publicly on this site if published.
When you simply visit: a count of visits, one per person per day. It is a number and nothing else — no cookies, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, and nothing that identifies who you are or where you came from.
We use it to take and manage your booking, to contact you about your stay, and to meet our obligations for tax and for the property's homeowners association. That is all.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is shared only with the services required to run the booking: Google Firebase, which hosts this site and stores the booking, and Stripe, which takes the payment.
Booking records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in South Carolina is generally several years. Reviews stay until you ask for yours to be removed. Visit counts hold no personal information at all and may be reset at any time.
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — though we may have to keep booking and payment records where the law requires. Write to us using the details below and we will reply.
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Guest details are readable only by the owner and are protected by rules enforced on the server, not merely hidden in the page. Card details, as above, never touch this site.
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Bookings must be made by an adult.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
